David is Vice President and Associate General Counsel for TripAdvisor, Inc. He is responsible for managing a wide variety of legal issues at TripAdvisor, including technology & content licensing, privacy, commercial transactions, marketing & consumer law, e-commerce initiatives, government affairs, M&A, and website & regulatory compliance for the TripAdvisor’s companies and brands.

David and his wife Debbie live in Sharon with their two children. They have a child on the autism spectrum who inspired David to help other families in their efforts to face the challenges of autism. David is also a member of the management committee of the TripAdvisor Charitable Foundation, which operates the day-to-day activities for the TripAdvisor Charitable Foundation  He also serves as a Board Member of Traveltech (the premier trade association for the travel technology industry) and is an active participant and fundraiser for the Pan-Mass Challenge.

Prior to joining TripAdvisor in 2008, David spent five years as Senior Counsel at Invensys PLC in Foxboro, MA working on M&A, commercial law, and other regulatory matters. Before that, he worked at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and as a corporate associate at the law firms of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder and Wilmer Hale in Boston. He grew up in the suburbs of New York City, before attending college at Brandeis University, and then graduating with a J.D. and M.S. from Boston University, and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University
