The goal of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism is to help families affected by autism live life to the fullest. Through our programs and partnerships, we help families get access to services; lead more active lifestyles; and grow toward adult independence. Our Foundation supports many programs and partners with like-minded organizations to directly help families affected by autism. We also create opportunities to bring families together from all over to build a community of support. Our three priorities are below.
REGISTRATION for the 2018 Summer Program is now full.
The Flutie Foundation is a proud sponsor of the AccesSportAmerica water sports program for individuals on the autism spectrum at the Pappas Rehab Hospital in Canton* (Formerly the Mass Hospital School). Annually, this adaptive program offers 50+ Individuals with autism the opportunity to take part in windsurfing, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, surfing, and more!
We realize the need for community based services for our adult community including skills training, jobs, housing, transportation and health care delivery. Our newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will create businesses to employ adults with autism.
Gathering people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families, their friends, their advocates and those who provide support, Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts (AFAM) speaks in one voice to build the capacity of our communities to welcome, fully include and support people with ASD.
