Shamez is a General Partner of North Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm which Shamez co-founded in 2000. North Hill manages two funds and has 22 portfolio companies. Prior to North Hill, Shamez was co-founder and Managing Director of The Clearview Group, an incubator that formed commerce and technology companies including Medassets.com, Greenlight.com (sold to Internet Brands), and Viveca Software (sold to Open Pages). Prior to Clearview, Shamez was Vice President of Sales and Strategy at a venture-backed medical services company. Shamez began his career as a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group and Bain and Company.

Shamez holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School, and an A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
