Jonathan Gardner is a 19 year old, self advocate, Decision Maker, cancer survivor, who happens to have Autism, with a vision of helping others anyway he can. Jonathan enjoys video games, anime, wrestling, and advocating for himself and others.
Jonathan began his advocacy at the age of 8. He took a traumatic event and shared his story to help pass the School Restraint and Seclusion Law in Massachusetts.
Jonathan is currently an ambassador for Operation House Call through the Arc of Massachusetts. Jonathan recently was appointed to sit on the Massachusetts Developmental Disability Council. Jonathan has been using his advocacy to testify on Supportive Decision Making and Operation House Call.
Jonathan spoke at the 2021 Legislative Reception as well as the Arc of Massachusetts Gala. Jonathan also wrote a Letter to the Editor about Supportive Decision Making that was published in the Boston Globe. Jonathan is eager to use his passion from his own life experiences to support, encourage and provide a genuine positive impact to all around him.
