Relieving the Financial Burden of Autism for Families | Flutie Foundation

 

Families affected by autism want what every family wants – for their loved ones to be healthy, to learn, enjoy friendships, work, to live fully.  Too often they struggle to find and afford effective interventions that will make all the difference throughout their loved one’s journey. The Flutie Foundation helps families by:  

  • Providing direct financial assistance for families and serving as a resource for information on local service providers. 
  • Funding service organizations that are providing critical, innovative and responsive programming for people with autism. 
  • Advocating for greater acceptance and awareness of autism spectrum disorder.

Joey's Fund | Hope Fund
Distribute grants to families to cover a variety of additional expenses required to meet their unique needs. Helps cover the costs of things like respite care, horseback riding lessons, art classes, and camp tuition.

Flutie Watersports Program
Provides funding to people with autism to participate in our adaptive water sports program in Massachusetts. Participants take part in windsurfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing and more

Safe & Secure
Keeping people with autism safe in their communities by providing those with a history of wandering with a SafetyNet Tracking Bracelet, and partnering with local law enforcement around efforts of education, acceptance, and inclusion for people and families with autism.
